Swarm is an interactive, site-specific, roving puppetry work from the mind of Australian Puppetry Designer and Puppet Maker, Elias Ppiros. A swarm of seven larger than life bees embark on a journey in search of their new hive. While interacting with audiences on their travels, Swarm encourages the exploration of the imagination while engaging young minds.
Immersive sound technology is utilised throughout Swarm adding a gentle buzzing sound to each bee, furthering our ability to tap into the audiences’ senses to create a sensory and immersive experience.
Swarm pairs with an optional workshop where young minds create paper flowers and then meet the bees on their travels, lifting their flowers into the air for the bees to reenact extracting pollen.
